Lindberg Eyewear
Danish Minimalism Perfected
The answer to why Lindberg eyewear has earned a place in our vintage collection is simple: it represents the pinnacle of eyewear design. But what makes these frames so unique? Here, you’ll discover why Lindberg glasses have been regarded as masterpieces of reduction and craftsmanship for decades.

In 1983, the Danish couple Lindberg, in close collaboration with architects Dissing+Weitling, developed an eyewear collection that initially was considered an insider tip but quickly rose to the pinnacle of optical craftsmanship. Today, Lindberg glasses are renowned worldwide – not least because of their many celebrity wearers. But let’s start from the beginning ...
The iPhone of Eyewear
Lindberg Air Titan
In the mid-1980s, Lindberg set new standards with the Air Titan – the world's first rimless eyewear frame made entirely of titanium.
In the mid-1980s, Lindberg set new standards with the Air Titan – the world's first rimless eyewear frame made entirely of titanium.
Thanks to a revolutionary modular system, Lindberg pushed the boundaries of what was possible. The frame consisted of just three titanium wires – with no screws, no soldered joints. What initially seemed impossible became a groundbreaking innovation: with the help of the patented spiral hinge, screws were eliminated entirely, while the ultra-light titanium wire design provided unprecedented durability and comfort.
This visionary development had an impact reminiscent of Apple – a radically new approach initially recognized and appreciated only by a select group of enthusiasts. Even an appearance in a James Bond film did little to change that: villain Elliot Carver, played by Jonathan Pryce in Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), wore the legendary Lindberg Air Titanium (Model 199). At first a well-kept secret among insiders, these frames later evolved into a true design icon.

Lindberg Air Titan Rim
Just as groundbreaking as the Air Titan was its successor, the Air Titan Rim series by Lindberg.
The Lindberg designers expanded the original Air Titan by adding an extra titanium wire, transforming the rimless design into a flawless full-rim frame – a design as simple as it is ingenious. Impeccable, minimalist, and free from unnecessary elements – this is the essence of the Air Titan Rim.
The numerous prestigious awards won by the Air Titan Rim series underscore its significance. Lindberg is no longer an insider secret among connoisseurs, as evidenced by its many prominent wearers worldwide. In Asia, the brand gained particular recognition through former South Korean President Moon Jae-in, for whom the Lindberg Air Titan Rim Panto became a signature accessory – a frame as aesthetic, understated, and refined as his presence.
We also carry select Lindberg Air Titan Rim models in our collection – now available with additional acetate rings that subtly enhance the look.
Lindberg Spirit Titanium
Weightless Sophistication That Even Armani Couldn't Resist
With the Spirit Titanium collection, Lindberg expanded the groundbreaking Air Titan series, adding a new dimension of lightness and elegance.
These models are based on Lindberg’s signature modular system, offering an almost limitless variety of colors and shapes. But their true highlight is their weight: at just 1.9 grams, Spirit Titanium frames are among the lightest Lindberg has ever created – ultra-light designer glasses that feel almost weightless on the nose.
This exceptional comfort has not only won over eyewear enthusiasts worldwide but also some of the most renowned personalities in the world. Queen Elizabeth II wore a rimless Lindberg Spirit Titanium (Form 61), as did Richard Gere and Robert De Niro.
However, one of the most notable fans of this collection is none other than the "Godfather" of understated elegance: Giorgio Armani. Instead of wearing his own designs, the Italian fashion icon opted for a rimless Lindberg Spirit Titanium. He was first spotted with the Model 2000 in the early 2000s – and his admiration for Lindberg has remained ever since. At Milan Fashion Week 2020, he made yet another statement: on the runway, he appeared in a subtle, round Lindberg frame – this time from the Air Titan Rim collection.
Lindberg Acetanium
The Fusion of Two Material Worlds
When two different materials harmonize perfectly, they deserve a name of their own. Acetanium was Lindberg’s answer to this unique symbiosis.
Lindberg Acetanium
Acetanium is a masterful combination of acetate and titanium. Like every Lindberg innovation, this collection set new standards: Acetanium glasses feature the thinnest acetate fronts ever produced, and when paired with ultra-light titanium temples, they rank among the lightest eyewear in the world. Reinforced with an internal titanium wire, they are not only featherlight but also impressively durable – offering maximum comfort with everyday resilience.
This blend of technical ingenuity and aesthetic elegance made Lindberg Acetanium glasses highly sought-after design pieces. One particularly style-conscious wearer of this collection is Sting, whose music merges elements of pop, jazz, and world music – much like Acetanium seamlessly combines different materials. The former The Police frontman favors the Lindberg Acetanium Panto 1014 – a model that embodies lightness, style, and innovation.

Lindberg Strip Titanium
If the Lindberg Air Titan is the "Mac" of eyewear, then the Lindberg Strip Titanium is the "PC" – not because of differences in quality or design, but due to its most famous wearer: Bill Gates.
The Microsoft founder appeared on the cover of Forbes Magazine in 2011 wearing a Lindberg Strip Titanium frame. As the name Strip suggests, this collection is crafted from premium titanium strips, shaped into ultra-light yet incredibly stable frames. These glasses retain all the signature advantages of Lindberg’s materials – hypoallergenic, durable, and exceptionally lightweight.
But this series takes things a step further: for the first time, Lindberg blended its clean, contemporary design with subtle fashion details from the 1950s, resulting in a retro reinterpretation of the classic Lindberg aesthetic. Small embellishments on the frame create a refined visual impact with minimal material usage. Yet, even in this collection, Lindberg remains true to its philosophy – no screws, no glue, just pure engineering perfection.
The Evolution of Strip Titanium
Lindberg Thintanium
With the Thintanium collection, Lindberg achieved what even experts deemed impossible – reducing titanium strips even further.
With an ultra-thin frame profile, these glasses appear almost invisible – a design reduced to its absolute essence. For those who prefer subtle accents, the Thintanium is also available with integrated acetate inner rims, which slightly enhance the delicate construction. This combination of materials also allows for numerous customization options.
The innovative design has received global recognition and has been honored with some of the highest design awards. The Thintanium was awarded the prestigious "Red Dot: Best of the Best" for its unmatched aesthetics and functionality, as well as the coveted "iF Gold Award", where 123 leading designers from 23 nations select the world’s best product design.
With these accolades, the Lindberg Thintanium stands alongside legendary design milestones such as the iPod, iPhone 3G, Apple Watch Ultra, and the iconic Beosound speakers by Bang & Olufsen – yet another masterpiece of Danish engineering.
Almost Invisible, Yet Unmistakable
Lindberg NOW
The NOW series embodies all the signature Lindberg qualities: featherlight, minimalist, durable, and perfectly suited for everyday wear. This time, however, Lindberg introduced an entirely new material.
For the NOW collection, Lindberg used a transparent composite material. This innovative plastic gives the frames a soft, glass-like appearance, offering a fresh interpretation of minimalist aesthetics.
True to its philosophy, Lindberg ensured maximum customization. The NOW series features a wide range of colored fronts and lacquered titanium temples, allowing for nearly endless combinations. Additionally, the translucent fronts come in numerous sizes and shapes – from classic round designs to striking angular forms.
A collection that feels almost weightless yet remains unmistakably elegant.

Lindberg Eyewear
The Apple of the Eyewear World
Beyond the collections already mentioned, the Lindberg universe offers even more extraordinary masterpieces – glasses that stand out for their exceptional craftsmanship, rare materials, and sheer exclusivity.
Lindberg Buffalo Titanium
These handcrafted frames combine pure titanium with exquisite buffalo horn – a fusion that brings together delicate lightness and natural elegance. They are among the lightest and most sophisticated horn-rimmed glasses in the world.
Lindberg Trae-Buffalo Titanium
"Træ" is the Danish word for wood – and this collection brings precisely that element into eyewear design. Fine hardwoods and buffalo horn merge in these models to create a unique blend of nature and technology.
Lindberg Precious
The pinnacle of Lindberg’s perfection: Precious is one of the most exclusive eyewear collections in the world. Handcrafted frames made from 18-karat gold, platinum, or the finest buffalo horn, optionally adorned with flawless diamonds – strictly limited and often available only on request. This makes Lindberg the largest manufacturer of precious metal eyewear in the world.
Around 5% of all Lindberg frames are bespoke, crafted to match individual customer preferences. 50% of Lindberg glasses go directly to the end customer, never having been displayed in a retail store – a true testament to exclusivity. Many of these models are personalized, engraved with the wearer’s name or even a custom dedication.
No other eyewear brand has such a close connection with its customers as Lindberg. Its dedicated clientele is often compared to Apple’s loyal fan base.
Henrik Lindberg, son of founders Poul-Jørn and Hanne Lindberg, put it best:
„We don’t need to cover the entire eyewear market – we only need a small part of it.“
A small part, no doubt – but the most exclusive one.
